The GCGC Tells Toy Stories
« on: December 05, 2009, 11:21:05 pm »

Need a break from the busy holiday season?  Come join your good friends from the GCGC as we enjoy some geo-fellowship and tell a few toy stories.  We’ll meet for breakfast from 8:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, December 19th at the Americana Restaurant in Matthews.  We have their private area reserved, and you can order a good, reasonably priced breakfast or just have coffee if you like.  There is space for about 40 people in the private area - please post an attendance note ASAP so we can get an early count.

Due to the popularity and brisk breakfast business of this establishment, the management has asked that we try to get the majority of our orders in by 8:30 so the kitchen can take care of us quickly - please try to be on time!!

The main purpose of this meeting, besides the fellowship, will be a TOY DRIVE  to benefit Birthday Blessings, a local organization that seeks to meet needs of homeless children that are living in Mecklenburg County shelters.  Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to contribute to this worthy cause as we give back to those from our community who have many needs.  No speeches and giveaways this time, just good fellowship for a good cause - please feel free to trade trackable items if you have them.

Hope to see you there!

I'll be there - late....  about 9:00 or so.  I'll just have coffee.

Thanks for setting this up!  I am looking forward to it.

Thanks to everyone who attended this event.  The room was just right, the food and the service was great, and the fellowship was incredible as usual for this fun bunch.  Merry Christmas!

I totally did not see this announcement.  Being within 3 miles of the house, I hate I missed it.  I'll watch out more diligently for the next one. :(

Too bad, CN.  We had a drawing for a $200 cash prize, and your name was drawn, but you had to be present to win.

Next time, though.

Therapaint decided to just keep the money.
