Since the process takes so long, I was thinking that for the 2013 edition, we should start the entry process soon and have it run until May or so.   That way it would give people more than a month to get their ideas together and flushed out. 

We could then have voting open for the month of May so that way it should give plenty of time for the powers that be to get everything done and back by January 2013 so we have a full year to sell the coin and we don't have to skip another year.

Just a thought.  :)

It is a longer process than we ever hope for, but you have some valid points.

Does this mean the proof samples of the winning design are also ready for distribution to the top 3 design designers?  :D

I received 2 emails about the coins but have yet to find where to order 2 coins via PayPal. Assuming they haven't sold out already, I'm good for a couple if you'll just point me to the order page...

FA - it was outrageously expensive to create any amount of proof coins, so we opted to not have them minted and sent. We will have something for the runners up though.

Note that you have to be logged in to site to see the article with the order link on the home page. My mistake was trying to browse from my phone where I am not logged in (except via Tapatalk).
